The Perfect EV Friendly Long-Weekend Spent on The Mornington Peninsula

The Mornington Peninsula is Victoria’s ultimate blend of coastal beauty, outdoor adventures, world-class wineries, gourmet produce, and wellness escapes; all within 60 minutes of Melbourne. With golden beaches, rolling vineyards, and clifftop drives, it’s the perfect short escape.

For this trip, you’ll be driving an electric vehicle (EV), making your journey both sustainable and seamless. Hiring an EV is now comparable in price to a petrol vehicle, yet comes with major benefits:

  • Lower emissions → Helping protect the Peninsula’s pristine natural landscapes.

  • No need to return it fully charged → Unlike a rental with a petrol tank, you can simply drop it back at the airport.

  • Charging made easy → Every stop in this itinerary has EV charging available, so you can relax knowing your car is always supported (you won’t need charge at every stop but always good to have the option).

Your base will be the Lakeside Villas at Crittenden Estate, a boutique lakeside retreat right in the heart of wine country. There is also an EV charger located at your accommodation,
