Booking Terms for DAY TRIPS

VARIATIONS AND CANCELLATIONS

Day tours:

WAM is committed to providing its customers (you) with an enjoyable and safe trip. Trips can occasionally be affected by weather, and other unforeseen factors outside of our control (including adverse weather conditions, or an insufficient number of passengers for us to run the trip) may require us to alter routes, itineraries, fares, days of operation or even cancel tours. We retain the right to do any of these things without notice (however, where practical we will endeavour to provide you with notice of alterations or cancellations). We require a minimum of 4 passengers to run a trip and have a maximum of 8 passengers. If we need to cancel a trip due to there being less than 4 passengers, we will endeavour to provide you with at least 12 hours’ notice of such cancellation.

In the event of unforeseen circumstances such as extreme weather, we may be unable to operate the tour on a specific day. In this case, you will be offered an alternative date. If however you are not able to attend a trip on a different date, we will provide you with a full refund. To the extent permitted by law, no refunds will be provided due to alterations to any aspect of the trip.
If you cancel a trip booking at least 7 days in advance of the trip, we will provide you with your choice of a refund of any trip fares already paid, or a credit note for a future trip. No refund will be provided for cancellations within 7 days of the trip date, however we will allow you to transfer that trip booking into another person’s name. A $25 administrative fee will apply to all booking changes within 7 days of departure.

Multi-Day Tours: The Great Alpine & Lakes Adventure

We require a minimum of 5 passengers to run a trip and have a maximum of 9 passengers. If we need to cancel a trip due to there being less than 5 passengers, we will notify you at least 3 months prior to the departure date.

To the extent permitted by law, no refunds will be provided due to alterations to any aspect of the trip.
Full payment of the trip is due 90 days before departure.
If you cancel a trip booking at least 90 days in advance of the trip, we will provide you with your choice of a refund of any trip fares already paid less the deposit, or a credit note for a future trip (less the deposit). No refund will be provided for cancellations within 90 days of the trip date.

PICK UP AND DROP OFF SERVICES

You must be waiting at the designated pick-up location at least 10 minutes before the designated pick-up time. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are visible to the WAM guide. If the WAM guide is not easily able to locate you at the designated pick-up location at the designated pick-up time, we reserve the right to depart without you (and you will be deemed to have cancelled your booking within 7 days of departure and no refund will be given).

LUGGAGE POLICY

There are no luggage storage facilities on day tours, please do not bring your luggage with you. Any luggage over and above small day-packs (and any other equipment designated on the WAM trip itinerary) presented on the departure day (including strollers, walking assistance frames, wheelchairs) may result in refusal to board.
