What You'll See and Do During Your Day

Your awe-inspiring day starts meeting at the iconic 19th century McCrae Lighthouse conveniently located in the heart of the Mornington Peninsula by the crystal clear waters of the bay.

We begin with a must-do activity on the Peninsula, a Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) adventure along the majestic waters of Port Phillip Bay keeping an eye out for the local pods of dolphins and with the backdrop a stunning white sandy beach adorned with the famous colourful bathing boxes. Your guide is a certified SUP instructor and will give you all necessary pointers and safety instructions before we get on the water.

We will be on the water for around an hour to an hour and a half exploring the coastline which is ample time to fall in love with the worlds fastest growing watersport as well as enjoying the stunning vistas of the coastline and Arthurs Seat (Wonga). Please note: if the weather and wind are not suitable we may select an alternative inland waterway location.

After your SUP experience you have time to relax, get changed and grab a coffee before we hop onto the WAM van (which we have renovated to feel like an awesome eco-retreat) and cruise to the southern coastline of the Peninsula.

Here we enjoy a breathtaking guided hike along nature trails with stunning views. We often see wildlife like kangaroos, echidnas and other birdlife along the way. The hike is around 3-5km’s depending on the rainforest or coastal route we take with a stop along the way to chill and if the conditions are right we can embrace wild swimming at secret magical natural rock pools which is sure to be a highlight.

After all that adventure it’s time to refuel and indulge your palate with a delicious picnic lunch full of fresh local produce at a spectacular beach viewpoint. We also provide other refreshments such as native tea, coffee and local beverages.

After lunch it’s time to relax in the best way possible. The Peninsula Hot Springs are some of the world’s best thermal hot springs and are set amongst nature which is the perfect way to chill and unwind. Here you’ll be able to kick back in a tranquil setting with over 70 global bathing experiences, including an amphitheatre of geothermal pools, ice cave, saunas, hammocks and more. The hot springs are an optional activity for the day so if you decide not to visit, we take you to a local coastal township to explore instead.

Feeling rejuvenated from the Hot Springs, we drive to Red Hill and a beautiful quirky winery for tastings which focuses on incorporating organic practices. A trip to the Mornington Peninsula wouldn’t be complete without experiencing one of it’s over 200 wineries and we take you to one of our favourites. Here we will have some time to taste some of the best wines on the Peninsula whilst enjoying the vineyard views.

Finally, while you sit back and reminisce on an unforgettable day, we’ll take a stunning scenic drive via the summit of the Mornington Peninsula stopping at a viewpoint along the way before dropping you back at where our epic adventure started at McCrae Lighthouse.

Please contact us if you would like to discuss an alternative pick up location from your accommodation on the Mornington Peninsula or Frankston Station. For larger groups we can also pick up from Melbourne.
